Salvete Omnes:
Welcome to the Albright College
Classics Department.

Welcome to the Albright College Classics Department. Albright is one of the few colleges which have a state approved Latin teacher certification program. We offer a regular cycle of Latin 101, 102, 201, 202 and Latin 301, 302, and 401 upon request.  Greek 101, 102 are offered regularly and more advanced courses can be taken via independent study. Latin and Greek courses beyond 201 level can be taken for literature credit. While Classics is not an undergraduate concentration at Albright College, students can link Classics with other majors to create a combined individualized studies program.  Students interested in history, world cultures, archaeology, literature, language, law, medicine find that knowledge of classical languages is most helpful.

We enjoy our Classics studies. Classes are usually fairly small, informal, activity-based, and enhanced by individual attention.  We would be happy to have you join us!
