The Computer Science curriculum is modeled on recommendations of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world's oldest and largest educational and scientific computing society. The department provides opportunities for students to interact with working professionals and make professional connections through a local chapter of the ACM. The Albright ACM chapter conducts regular meetings, invites speakers to the College, and provides tours at off-campus sites. Students also participate in ACM sponsored regional programming contests that are held at various colleges and universities throughout the northeast.
