The Society for Human Rights

The Society for Human Rights was organized at Albright College to enhance student and community awareness of contemporary human rights issues.  In the past its members have been affiliated with international advocacy organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, and have participated in their US-based national campaigns.

During 2005-06, in addition to its local projects, the SHR brought to campus the US Army veteran Ken Carnes, to perform his "War/Peace and the Anatomy of Being Human".

Officers for the Society for Human Rights for 2006-07 are:

Secretary Rachel Knott  Box 788 rdk081@albright.edu
Treasurer Sun Howe Box 756 msh071@albright.edu
